The chalet was very comfortable. As we arrived on a cold day we enjoyed making a fire in the woodstove.
It is a very formal hotel. Everything was tightly scheduled.

The value for money at Fernery Lodge & Chalets was exceptional, and the room was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. The location was perfect for visiting the nearby National Park and other attractions. The staff treated us with great kindness and were always helpful.
The food for breakfast could have been better with more variety and options.

Pure luxury in an amazing location.
The 6km / 30min drive down the dirt road to access the lodge. But well worth the effort.

The location of the hotel is stunning, with a beautiful scenic route drive and a spectacular view of the river mouth, waterfall, and river gorge. Guests mentioned that the rooms are exceptionally comfortable and spacious, with great sleep quality in the mattresses and linen. the restaurant is also highly praised for its fantastic food and wine list, with the option to dine on the terrace.
Some guests mentioned that the staff seemed a bit harried during busy nights and breakfasts, which could lead to slower service.

The Chalets are beautiful in a great location. Staff service and food is excellent. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful.
The rough gravel road is a restraint to visit nearby attractions and return to the Fernery each time. It is well worth the effort if you chose to check in and relax till you check out and leave.

It was superb in every way! The owners and staff could not have been more friendly and efficient! Our room was delightfully furnished in a superb position overlooking the Gorge. The attention to detail was second to none and the food in the restaurant was top class! All in all we had to drag ourselves away after two nights. If we are ever in the same region again, we will certainly be going back! Oh and the dirt track leading to the Lodge? I read a comment that was negative when I was booking, but fortunately ignored it! As far as we were concerned, being at the end of s dirt track just added to the fact that this is total luxury off the beaten track!
Nothing! 10 out of 10!!

We had a fantastic stay at a hidden gem in a serene location. The chalet we stayed in had a breathtaking view of the mountains and sea. The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. The highlight was the bath overlooking the mountains - it was absolutely incredible.
Although there was no cellphone service, the availability of WiFi kept us connected. Despite slight decor outdatedness, the overall experience at the Fernery Lodge & Chalets was fabulous.

I had the most amazing stay at this hidden gem in the forest by the coast. The view from the restaurant was absolutely spectacular, overlooking the rushing water and the sea beyond. The comfort in the room was unparalleled, with a cozy bed and the option of Netflix for a relaxing evening. The staff, aside from one waitress at breakfast, were friendly and accommodating. The forest walk was a highlight, surrounded by the scent of pine and the beautiful sounds of birdsong and running water. The food, although the menu and wine selection were not great, was outstanding and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Despite a few minor hiccups like a malfunctioning jacuzzi bath and the lack of wifi in the room, overall I would highly recommend this resort for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat. The gorgeous scenery and impeccable comfort make it a truly special place to unwind and relax.

I stayed at The Oystercatcher cottage at Fernery Lodge & Chalets for 2 nights and it exceeded my expectations. The view, privacy, quietness, and luxury were exceptional. The staff were super and the food at the restaurant superb! The bathroom is a honeymoon gem and the coffee in the rooms sets the standard. The gardens are park-like, lush, and beautiful. The views from the restaurant overlooking the waterfall and ocean are mind-boggling.
Totally recommend this hotel.
